Well...now there is only 5 weeks to go and i STILL have alot of things to do to prepare for australia!
Although thanks to mama evans i do have some stylish new clothes to take with me after our succesful 'bridesmaid dress shopping' on sunday in Cardiff! She kindly bought me 3 new bikinis....some flowery denim shorts....a flowery light jacket....2 casual dresses.....and some other bits and bobs!
I think i own enough clothes to dress a 3rd world country now...so i really need to get cracking buying the outdoor-sy bits and bobs like...waterproofs....first aid kits....and more practical things like these! Luckily, I already own hiking boots from my bronze,silver and (yet to complete :s) gold Duke of Edinburgh days so that'll save me £50!
In the next week or two i expect to receive my project placement and a more detailed itinery through the post about the area and project i will be volunteering on. This will help in deciding what type of clothing and equiptment i need to take with me.
My sister kindly is lending me her travelling rucksack she took with her around the world for 9months....however packing light is sooo not my speciality and i think i'll struggle to fit everything in!
Anyway....i shall update you once i have received my volunteer project placement through the post....and hopefully started getting my act together packing-wise.
